The SEOPals Resource Center
Every policy, standard, and disclosure that governs how we work with architecture firms — written in plain English, not boilerplate. If you're evaluating an agency, this is the section worth reading before the sales page.

Transparency is part of the deliverable
Most agencies bury their terms in a PDF you sign once and never open again. We take the opposite position. An architecture firm handing over its website, its Google Business Profile, and its brand reputation deserves to know exactly what happens to that access — who touches the data, what we will and won't do to earn a link, what happens if the engagement ends, and what results we are honestly able to promise.
That last point matters more in this industry than most. SEO for architects is a long-horizon discipline: portfolio sites are technically heavy, design clients research for weeks before they inquire, and regional competition is concentrated. Anyone guaranteeing you a Page 1 position by a fixed date is either misinformed or selling you something they can't deliver. Our disclosure pages exist so that expectation is set before the contract, not after the third monthly report.
The pages below are maintained as a set. When one changes materially, the effective date on that page updates and existing clients are notified in writing.
Policies & standards
Privacy Policy
What personal and analytics data we collect from site visitors and clients, why we collect it, how long we keep it, who processes it on our behalf, and how to request deletion.
Read the policy →Terms of Service
The commercial terms: scope, billing cycle, deliverable ownership, client responsibilities, cancellation and refunds, market exclusivity, and what happens to the work product when an engagement ends.
Read the terms →Results & Earnings Disclaimer
The honest version of what SEO can and cannot guarantee, how our published statistics are calculated, and why no agency can promise a ranking position or a lead volume.
Read the disclaimer →Editorial & Link Building Standards
Our white-hat rules for earning authority: what placements we pursue in the design and building press, what tactics we refuse outright, and how we protect a client domain from penalty risk.
Read the standards →Cookie Policy
The cookies and similar technologies this site sets, what each category does, which third parties are involved, and how to control them from your browser.
Read the policy →Accessibility Statement
The standard we build to, the known limitations we're still working through, and how to report a barrier — plus why accessibility and search performance are the same project on portfolio sites.
Read the statement →What to read before you sign anything
If you're comparing agencies, three of these pages will tell you more than any pitch deck. Start with the Results & Earnings Disclaimer — an agency that won't publish one is an agency planning to over-promise. Then read the Editorial & Link Building Standards, because link acquisition is where the real risk to your domain lives; private blog networks and paid link farms can strip a firm's visibility overnight and the damage takes quarters to unwind. Finish with the Terms of Service section on deliverable ownership: you should leave any engagement holding the pages, the schema, and the accounts you paid for.
- Ask any agency for their link acquisition policy in writing before the first invoice.
- Confirm in the contract that content, page templates, and schema markup transfer to you.
- Verify who holds admin on your Google Business Profile, Search Console, and Analytics — it should be you, with the agency as a delegated user.
- Check whether reporting is tied to booked consultations or to impressions and keyword counts alone.
Those four questions filter out most of the market. They're also the reason our clients tend to arrive after a bad experience somewhere else — the technical foundation of an image-heavy portfolio site is unforgiving, and the wrong agency compounds the problem rather than fixing it.
