Who we are
SEOPals LLC ("SEOPals," "we," "us") operates seoforarchitect.com and provides search engine optimization services to architecture and design firms. For the purposes of data protection law we act as a data controller for information collected through this website, and as a data processor for information we handle inside a client's own accounts and platforms under an engagement.
Questions, access requests, and deletion requests go to info@seopals.com, or through our contact form. We respond to every request received through either channel.
Information we collect
Information you give us
When you submit the proposal or audit request form, we collect your name, email address, website URL, phone number if provided, the service you selected, and the contents of your message. We collect this because we cannot produce a meaningful audit of an architecture firm's search visibility without knowing which firm and which website we're auditing. If you become a client, we additionally collect billing contact details and the account access you delegate to us.
Information collected automatically
Like nearly every commercial website, this site records standard analytics: pages viewed, time on page, referring source, approximate location derived from IP address, device and browser type, and interactions with forms and buttons. This is aggregated behavioral data used to understand which pages actually help prospective clients and which ones don't. The cookies and similar technologies responsible are described in our Cookie Policy.
Client account data
During an engagement you may grant us delegated access to Google Search Console, Google Analytics, your Google Business Profile, your CMS, and occasionally your DNS or hosting panel. We access these to perform the work. We do not export, retain, or repurpose data from a client's accounts beyond what is required to produce deliverables and reporting, and we do not use one client's performance data to benefit a competing firm.
How we use it
- To respond to audit and proposal requests, and to prepare the audit itself.
- To deliver, report on, and invoice for contracted services.
- To send service communications about an active engagement.
- To send marketing email only where you have opted in, with an unsubscribe link in every message.
- To improve this website and understand which content answers real questions.
- To meet legal, tax, and accounting obligations.
We do not sell personal information. We do not share your firm's data with other clients, and we do not disclose that you are a client without your written permission — no logo on our site, no case study, no name in a pitch deck, unless you have said yes in writing.
Who processes data on our behalf
We use third-party providers to run the business: website hosting, email delivery, analytics, payment processing, CRM, and project management. Each has access only to what its function requires and is bound by its own data protection terms. The current list of subprocessors is available on request at info@seopals.com, and clients under an active engagement are notified before a new subprocessor with access to client data is introduced.
How long we keep it
Inquiry submissions that don't become engagements are retained for 24 months and then deleted. Client records, deliverables, and reporting are retained for the duration of the engagement plus seven years to cover warranty, dispute, and tax obligations. Delegated account access is revoked at offboarding — we ask you to remove our users yourself as well, and we confirm removal in writing.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, correct it, delete it, obtain a portable copy, object to certain processing, or opt out of targeted advertising and the sale or sharing of personal information. We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising as those terms are defined under California law, but you may still submit a request. We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights.
To make a request, email info@seopals.com with enough detail to identify your records. We respond within the period required by applicable law and may need to verify your identity first — usually by confirming control of the email address or the website domain in question.
Security
We use access controls, multi-factor authentication on accounts that hold client credentials, encrypted transport, and least-privilege delegation rather than shared passwords. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, and we don't claim otherwise. If a breach affects your personal information, we will notify you and any required regulator within the timeframes the law sets.
Children
This is a business-to-business service. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16. If you believe a minor has submitted information, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes
When this policy changes materially, we update the effective date above and, for active clients, notify the billing and primary contacts in writing. Continued use of the site after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
